The Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (KSPRS, 대한성형외과학회) is Korea’s primary board certifying body for plastic and reconstructive surgeons. Board certification requires completion of a recognised residency program and passage of KSPRS examinations.
The KSPRS maintains a public registry where anyone can verify a surgeon’s certification status by name. This is the first verification step we recommend for any patient considering surgery in Korea — see our guide to verifying a surgeon.
